The organization has been working to improve the learning level of underprivileged children attending government schools.  The schools in rural areas primarily in remote tribal belts have struggled to provide quality education to the children. So, transforming school education is pivotal to children growing up to become economically independent, socially responsible, and adopting environmentally friendly practices.

From 3000 children in 1999 in Mumbai, Magic Bus has transformed the lives of over one million children and young people living in poverty, taking them from a childhood full of challenges to a life with meaningful livelihoods. Magic Bus is one of the largest poverty alleviation programs in India, impacting 4,00,000 children and 35,000 young people in 23 states and 81 districts. We deliver sessions in close to 1,363 schools and in 1,961 communities.

The parent organization, “National Association for the Blind” (India), was founded in Mumbai in 1952 and is the country’s largest organization serving the blind. The NAB’s Delhi State Branch was established in 1979 in New Delhi’s R K Puram. The National Association for the Blind, Delhi, is a non-profit organization registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 on April 19, 1979, and has operated out of its current location in R K Puram since 1986.
