Kushal Dattani holds a master’s Degree in finance from RMIT University, Melbourne. A stock broker turned educator in 2010, he has been exploring and working on the ground with children and teachers to see the change one step at a time. He worked for over 4 years in Australia as a Special Education Teacher Assistant with children with special needs on their Individualized Education Plan. After experiencing the Education sector in Australia, he transitioned to India to work as a Teach for India fellow teacher in a low-income community school teaching First and Second Grade.
He currently works on an intervention program called Samait Shala, for mainstream classrooms in low income communities in Ahmedabad supporting children, teachers and parents to deepen their understanding and methodologies to ensure every child is included in the classroom learning. Samait Shala is set up with the vision “to create inclusive classroom environment for every child”.
