What kind of Community Ecology projects can we apply for?

Applications can be considered for projects that directly benefit disadvantaged communities and positively impact the environment. Our focussed themes include Water, Waste and Pollution Management, Ecosystem Services, and Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation. The details against each theme are mentioned here.

Can we apply for the grant for a research project?

We do not consider applications related to research and study.

Can we apply for multiple locations?

Yes. If the organization is applying for multiple locations, please make a separate application for each location.

What is the grant size for each Community Ecology initiative?

The applicant is expected to put the budget as per the scope of the proposed project(s).

For which locations can we apply?

The 2022 Community Ecology grants are open for the following locations – Amalner (Jalgaon, Maharashtra), Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi and NCR, Haridwar, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Maheshwaram (South Hyderabad), Mumbai, Pune, Tumakuru (Karnataka) and Vizag.

We would like to expand an existing model community ecology project which is supported by another funding agency. Can we apply?

Yes. You can apply if your organization is planning to expand an existing community ecology project, provided the locations match our priority list.

We would like to get support for an existing community ecology project which was previously funded by another organization but now has discontinued the funding. Can we apply?

Yes. Your organization may apply.

We require additional funding for a community ecology project which is already funded by another or multiple funders. Can we apply?
